Application Fee

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.

1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.

2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.

3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.

4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Admission Categories

Degree Programs

1. The Department of Sinology under the International School of Chinese Studies provides customized degree program to international students. The period of study is 4 years for undergraduate students, 3 years for master's and doctoral candidates, which can be extended in special conditions. Those who complete their study with satisfactory grades will be awarded relevant Certificates of Graduation and Degree Certificate in the major of Chinese Language and Literature.
2. International students can also apply for the 60 undergraduate majors, 150 master's majors and 60 doctoral majors (refer to the University's admission catalog for details). The period of study is 4 years for undergraduate students, 3 years for master's and doctoral candidates, which can be extended in special conditions. Those who complete their study with satisfactory grades will be awarded relevant Certificates of Graduation and Degree Certificate in the relevant major.

Non-degree Programs

1. Regular Chinese Language Program This 18-week program admits students in Spring and Autumn. The spring semester begins on the first Monday of March and the autumn semester begins on the first Monday of September. Students may also apply during the semester on special conditions.
2. Short-term Chinese Language Program This program is designed to meet the students different study periods and requirements, varying from one week, two weeks, one month, two months to three months. Short-term class can be started whenever there are more than 10 applicants who are at the same level. In addition to the language classes, visits to some famous sites of historical and cultural interests in the vicinity of Xi'an city can be arranged according to the students' requirements.
3. Chinese Language and Culture Training Program This program is open to overseas Chinese language teachers for 3-4 weeks training in Chinese language and culture as well as teaching skills. In addition to the classroom instruction, experience and practice are emphasized and visits to some famous sites of historical and cultural interests in the vicinity of Xi'an city are arranged.
4. Chinese Language and Culture Camp This 3-4 weeks camp, based on our "Chinese Language Education Base", is designed for the overseas Chinese youth to experience the long history and profound culture of China and arouse their pride in being descendents of Chinese.
5. Other lectures (such as on the China's national conditions, west development, Xi'an history and custom, etc.) seminars and HSK tutorials.
