Brief Introduction

The college offers various Chinese language training courses for foreign students at different Chinese proficiency levels, which are tailored in accordance with the different characteristics and specific needs and requirements of individual students, with lengths ranging from one to twelve weeks. Students may choose to attend one course or several courses consecutively.

Notes:  Students are arranged to study in the long-term Chinese language program in the middle time and must have certain Chinese skills to catch up with the other students in the class.

There are two periods of time for students to choose: Autumn semester (from Sep. to Jan.) and Spring semester (from Feb. to Jun.). If you want to study in other periods of time, you could choose summer course, winter course or one-on-one course.

Tuition

RMB 1000 for 1 week, 1800 for 2 weeks, 2400 for 3 weeks, 3000 for 1 month, 5000 for 2 months, 7000 for 3 months.

Curricular outline

Compulsory Courses:

• Comprehensive Chinese Courses at different levels;
• Chinese Oral Courses at different levels;
• Chinese Listening Courses at different levels;
• Chinese Speaking and Listening Courses at intermediate and advanced levels;
• Chinese Speaking and Listening Courses at advanced levels;
• Chinese Fast Reading Course, Newspaper and Magazine Reading Course at intermediate and advanced levels;

Select Courses in Various Forms:

• Cultural Courses: Chinese National Knowledge, Chinese Culture, Chinese History, Chinese Geography, Chinese Films;
• Cultural Skills Courses: Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy, Taijiquan (Shadowboxing), Chinese Folk Music, Erhu (Urheen), etc.
• Economic and Trade Courses: Economic and Trade Oral Course, Economic and Trade Writing Course;
• Literary Courses: Selected Reading of Literary Classics, Chinese Ancient Poetry, Chinese Literary History;
• Chinese Language Practice Courses Through Experiencing Shaanxi Culture and Customs: Students will visit places of historical interests and scenic beauty, enjoy local dishes at farmers' homes and appreciate the farmers' paintings, etc.
