Duration of Study
6 months, 20 hours/week.
Different levels of courses are offered: zero level beginning, elementary, intermediate and advanced.
Main Course
1. Language Skill Course:
Listening, Conversation, Reading, Character Writing, Intensive Reading, etc.
2. Chinese Literature and Culture Course:
Lectures on Chinese culture, Chinese Literature, Film Appreciation, Calligraphy, Painting, Folk Music, Peking Opera, Taiji boxing, etc.
3. Language Practice Course:
Extracurricular Language Practices, Folklore Field Study, Visits to Historical and Culture Places, etc. Also, a variety of elective courses are offered as well, such as Business Chinese and Executive Chinese, HSK Preparation, etc.
Free Elective Courses
Some useful optional course, just like business Chinese, Chinese words, Tourist Chinese, coach for HSK, and free talk, will be arranged most of course in afternoon. (At least 2-4 class in each afternoon)
Culture Activity,
During study period and vacations, the university often arranges various extracurricular language practices, cultural, sports and recreational activities, such as lectures on Chinese history and culture, table tennis matches, performances of Chinese songs, sitcoms directed and played by international students, etc.
Application Time
From Mar. to the end of Jul. Those who have Chinese basis can join class anytime during the semester.
Tuition
RMB 6000 for one semester. (Originally RMB 7500, 20% off because of financial crisis)
Accomodation
If you need dormitory on campus, room reservation should be made when application. If dormitories are full, we don't accept any room reservation. You have lived in the International Student Dormitories on campus for two months.
Free Fitness
There is a gymnasium in the dormitory, and the fitness equipment is free for use.
