Study duration
6 years, including 1 year of internship in hospital
The Students will enjoy six-weeks of summer vacations and four-weeks of winter vacations annually.
Application date
March 15 to July 20.
Curriculum
The 6-year duration is divided into two parts:
1. The first part is composed of pre-clinical courses, including Chinese Language, Medical English, Computer, Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Pathology, Physiology, Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, etc.
2. The last part is composed of clinical studies and rotations, including Diagnosis, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics and a one year internship in different departments of a hospital.
Note: Every semester's curriculums will be adjusted according to the university arrangement at that time.
Requirement on Chinese Language
Applicants are required to pass HSK (band 3) before graduation; otherwise they cannot get the degree.
Note: The requirement of the level of HSK?may be changed according to the Ministry of Education of P.R.C..
Internship Information
Students can choose to do the internship/training in China, their home country or any other country.
If international students would like to do the internship in China, XJTU would help student choose one from the The First Affiliated Hospitals and The Second Affiliated Hospital.
If students want to do the internship in other country, XJTU need to do an qualification evaluation on the hospital which student choose.
And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in XJTU.
Living Condition
The International Students Building is situated on the medical campus. Each room is well furnished and equipped with air-conditioner, television, telephone, bedding, bathroom, central-heating and other necessary facilities. Usually, two students share one room. The Muslim dining hall and some of the language classrooms for international students are also located in the same building. The university provides facilities for student's recreation to be enjoyed during their free time.
