How to get to Shanghai International Studies University (SHISU) - Hongkou campus?

From Hongqiao International Airport

It’s about 25 kilometers from Hongqiao International Airport to Hongkou campus.

Taxi: About a half hour taxi ride for about 60 - 70 RMB.

Airport Bus: Take route No.4 and get off at Hongkou Football stadium, which costs RMB 18. Then walk forward to Dongjiangwan Road and tune right, walk to West Dalian Road and turn right, there you can find your university. Total walking time is about 10 minutes.

From Pudong International Airport

It’s about 45 kilometers from Pudong International Airport to Hongkou campus.

Taxi: 140-150 CNY, one hour.

Airport Bus 4: RMB 18, 80 minutes, from Pudong Airport to the other terminal, Hongkou Football Stadium, which is in a distance of 500 meters to SISU Campus.

Shanghai Maglev  plus Subway Line 2 and Line3:

• Shanghai Maglev: RMB 50, 8 minutes.
• Subway Line 2 and Line 3: RMB 5, 1 hour. Get off Subway Line 3 at Hongkou Football Stadium Station or Chifeng Road Station. The university is 500 meters away from the subway station.

Transportation of neighborhoods

Metro: Metro Line 3 and 8 pass by SISU’s Hongkou Campus. The two nearest stations are Chifeng Road Station and Hongkou Football Stadium Station. Line 8 reaches the People’s Square and Nanjing Road (E). SHISU’s Hongkou Campus and Songjiang Campus are connected by Line 3 and Line 9. The transit station of the two lines is Yishan Road Station.

Bus: Bus 18, 537 and 933 reach the People’s Square, Nanjing Road (E) and Nanjing Road (W).

Taxi: Taxi is cheap and convenient. The first 3 kilometers costs RMB 12 and then RMB 2.2 for each kilometer after. It shall rise by 30% from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Bicycle: the most convenient transportation.
