Entrance Examination
Entrance Examination includes written and oral test, is held in late June. The exact examination date will be declared on May 25.
The subjects of the Entrance Examination are listed in the Majors of SISU's Master's and Doctor's Degree Programs for International Students in 2009.
Fees (in RMB)
Master's Degree: 26,000 RMB /Year
Insurance Fee: about 600 RMB/Year.
Teaching materials shall be bought by students themselves. Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to SISU.
Completion of Program
Diploma and Certificate of Master's Degree will be issued to those who have completed the Mater's program with qualified academic standing.
Notes
1) The financial support and custody may be student's parents or relatives in Shanghai.
2) Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to SISU.
3) This brochure is available in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. In case of any inconsistency, the Chinese version shall prevail.
4) The Office of International Student Affairs of Shanghai International Studies University reserves the right to explain the items of this brochure.

- Certificate of HSK
Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)
- Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
- Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
- Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
- Academic transcript of highest education
- Two letters of recommendation
From professor or associate professor or equivalents
- Indexes and abstracts of published theses/dissertation
The indexes and abstracts of published theses/dissertation or other materials to prove applicant's research ability.
- Personal Statement
About 1000 words, written in Chinese, which includes study and work experiences, research results and study plan.
