Chinese Proficiency Requirements and Entrance Examination

1. Programs in Hongkou Campus:

Chinese Language majors require applicants have HSK grade 3 or have one semester's full-time Chinese training in Chinese university. Those, with HSK grade 5 and one year's full-time Chinese training in university, may be enrolled as a sophomore, and with HSK grade 6 and two years' full-time Chinese training in university, enrolled as a junior, after passing an Entrance Examination provided by College of International Cultural Exchange.

Completion of Program

Diploma and Certificate of Bachelor's Degree will be issued to those who have completed the undergraduate program with qualified academic standing.

Fees (in RMB)

1) Admission Fee: 4,000 RMB (only for newcomers)
2) Tuition: 18,000 RMB /Year
3) Teaching Material Fee: 500 RMB /Year(only for the programs in Hongkou Campus)
4) Management Fee: 680 RMB /Year
5) Insurance: about 600 RMB /Year
The students of programs in Songjiang Campus pay the same teaching material fee as Chinese students. Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to SISU.

1) The financial support and custody may be student's parents or relatives in Shanghai.

3) This brochure is available in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. In case of any inconsistency, the Chinese version shall prevail.

3. Over 18 and under 40 years old;

5. With reliable financial support and custody.
6. New HSK level 4 or original HSK level 3 for majors in Hongkou Campus

Top↑Application Materials

1. Certificate of HSK
   Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)
2. Photocopy of valid passport
   With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
3. Passport photo
   A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
4. High school academic transcript
5. High school graduate certificate
   Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
6. Certificate of Chinese language education
   Applicants who want to be enrolled as a sophomore or junior in Chinese Language majors shall submit the certificate of full-time Chinese training and academic record in original or notarized copy in English or Chinese
