Course Load
Also short-term students may be enrolled in the Long-term Non-degree Chinese Language Program for a period less than a semester. Students who apply this program must have certain Chinese skills to catch up with the other students in the class.
There are two periods of time for students to choose: Autumn semester (from Sep. to Jan.) and Spring semester (from Feb. to Jun.). If you want to study in other periods of time, you could choose summer course, winter course or one-on-one course.
The teaching schedule is same as that of the Long-term Non-degree Chinese Language Program as following:
1. Basic Chinese Language Courses in the morning including:
Comprehensive Chinese (grammar, conversation, Chinese characters), Chinese Listening Comprehension, Chinese Reading and Chinese Conversation.
2. Free-charged Elective Courses in the afternoon including:
Chinese Characters Writing, Calligraphy, Taijiquan, Paper Cutting, Chinese Elocution, HSK Tutoring, Chinese Modern History, Modern Literature, Security Investment, International Investment, Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange History, E-Business, etc.
Length of Schooling
Three months.
Application Period
The application is accepted all over the year.
Fees (in RMB)
Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to SISU.

Completion of Program
Certificate of Study and Academic Record will be issued to those who have completed the short-term Chinese Language Program with qualified academic standing.
Notes
1) The financial support and custody may be student's parents or relatives in Shanghai.
2) Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to SISU.
3) This brochure is available in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. In case of any inconsistency, the Chinese version shall prevail.
4) The Office of International Student Affairs of Shanghai International Studies University reserves the right to explain the items of this brochure.
