Duration of study:
2 Years

Objective of the Program:
The students should possess solid theoretical foundation and systematic professional knowledge in management, economics and relevant disciplines, and have a full understanding of latest development in these fields. They should be able to communicate skillfully in English, and should grasp modern management approaches and technology to conduct management as well as theoretical research independently. After graduation, they should be able to work competently in relevant government departments, enterprises, or institutions of higher learning and scientific research.

Study Requirements:

Course study requirements:
Total credits are not fewer than 28, in which 18 credits are from core courses, more than 8 credits are from selective courses. Not less than 2 credits are from other compulsory activities. Students who have not the background of economics or management must select the make-up courses, which will not take any credits.

Thesis Requirement:
Students should complete research proposal writing before the end of the second semester. The final thesis and research work should be done according to the standards of The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and pass the thesis defense finally.

Management (II); Information Technology & Management; Applied Statistics; Modern Economics; Special Topic Research; Internship

Degree to be awarded:
The student who has fulfilled all the courses and thesis requirements will be awarded the Master Degree of Management of Tongji University.

Language Requirement:
80 or above for TOEFL; 6.0 or above for IELTS; or other certificates which can prove that English is his/her native language or the working language at college.

Academic Requirement:
Bachelor's degree educational background or equivalent and majors in economy or management.
