Application Fee

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.

1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.

2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.

3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.

4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Application Materials

Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.

Undergraduates (Four-or-Five-Year Program):

1. Photocopy of high school diploma and the school report (translated into Chinese or English)
2. Photocopy of passport
3. One passport-sized photo
4. Photocopy of notarized physical examination record (valid for 6 months)
5. A recommendation letter from their sponsoring organization or people

Master-degree Candidates (Three-Year Program):

1. Photocopy of bachelor diploma and the college’s transcript
2. Photocopy of notarized physical examination record (valid for 6 months)
3. Photocopy of passport
4. One passport-sized photo
5. Two reference letters from professors

Doctoral-degree Candidates (Three-Year Program):

1. Photocopy of master’s diploma and the college’s transcript
2. Photocopy of notarized physical examination record (valid for 6 months)
3. Photocopy of passport
4. One passport-sized photo
5. Two reference letters from professors

Short-term Studies:

1. Photocopy of passport

When to apply

Applicants of either SCU long-term programs or short-term programs should submit their application three months prior to the beginning of a new semester. However, special cases can be admitted any time.

Time of Enrollment

An academic year consists of spring and autumn semesters, the division of which follows the schedule of Chinese spring festival and varies from year to year.

• Spring semester: from Feb. 28 2011 to Jul. 9 2011. (Registration date: Feb. 17 to 25 2011)
• Autumn semester: from late August or early September to late January of the next year.
