The course is designed in accordance to the latest trend in the world, so as to make it globally acceptable as well as to incorporate the requirements of SAARC countries. The program started in 2001, and there had been 4 years graduates, average rate of acquiring Medical License is 90%.
SCU is listed in the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools and the graduates of MBBS program are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries such as MCI, PMDC, USMLE, HPCSA, SCHS etc. For more details, please visit the Medical Licensing Examination Guide.

Introduction to Clinical Medicine, Diagnostics, Pathology, Diagnostic Radiology, Medical Psychology, Introduction to Surgery, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Dermatology, Psychiatrics, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Genetics, Clinical Epidemiology and Clinical Research Design, Forensic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Geriatrics etc.
Selective courses: Acupuncture, Modern Oncology, Clinical Pharmacology, Rehabilitation, Emergency Medicine
Students can choose to do the internship/training in China, their home country or any other country.
If international students would like to do the internship in China, it would be done in The First University Hospitalthe which is also called as Huaxi Hospital (details). And studetns need to pass the HSK 3 to contact with patients. The tuition fee is RMB 45,000 per year.
If students want to do the internship in other country, SCU need to do an qualification evaluation on the hospital which student choose. Students only need to pay for the processing fee and examination fee.
And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in SCU.
Applicants are required to pass HSK test (level 3) before the graduation.
Note: The requirement of the level of HSK may be changed according to the Ministry of Education of P.R.C..
MBBS Degree: upon graduation, students need to pass the HSK 3 to get the diploma. On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by the SCU, if they meet the degree regulations of the university. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master’s degree.

With an educational background equal to high school graduation in China or have passed Grade Twelve (10+2)/FSc./A Level/WAEC or equivalent.
With an average score of 70% and above in Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

4. Academic record: a photocopy of the transcript, with an average score of 70% and above in Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry;
5. A photocopy of notarized Foreigner Physical Examination Record (Download the Form in pdf format, Download Adobe Reader) valid for 6 months. (the students will take the original manuscript);
