The Center for Overseas Studies of Shandong University (COS) is a university element that provides overseas learning opportunities for Shandong University students to develop the knowledge, competency and understanding needed in their future career. COS also dedicates to promoting education of Chinese language and culture and assist in studying at Shandong University. COS is affiliated with the College of International Education of Shandong University.

COS welocmes interested parties from overseas educational institutions to establish joint study-abroad programs.

Mission

COS promotes education abroad, assist in the implementation and administration of programs, and help to prepare students to undertake an education abroad experience. Specifically,

· COS establishes itself as an advising center for Shandong University education abroad programs.

· COS provides information and administers designated education abroad scholarship programs for education abroad for undergraduate and graduate students.

· COS manages institutional exchange student agreements and works cooperatively with our counterparts at the partner institutions located in the host country.

· COS publishes and disseminates information about education abroad opportunities to the Shandong University community. We sponsor programs, workshops, and an annual education abroad fair as a means of publicizing such opportunities.

· COS assists in recruiting international students wishing to study Chinese language and culture at Shandong University.
