Application Qualification

Undergraduate program

• Applicants are expected to study hard, observe the Chinese laws and the regulations of BUAA and have the equivalent of a high school education.
• Applicants are expected to have good scores and studied hard in high school.
• Applicants should be under thirty five years old in general.
• Applicants in the academic fields of Engineering Science and Management Science should have Chinese proficiency of HSK grade 5 or above; applicants in the academic fields of Social Science must have Chinese proficiency equal to HSK grade 6 or above.
• Applicants should attend the entrance examination and meet the requirements of BUAA.

Master's Program

• The Applicant should be expected to study hard, observe the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and abide by the regulations of BUAA.
• In general the applicant should have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or have the equivalent educational background of (a B.S.) degree.
• The applicant should be forty years of age or under.
• He/she must have a good command of English and have the ability to take courses in English or Chinese.

Doctoral program

• The Applicant should be expected to study hard, observe the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and abide by the regulations of BUAA.
• He/she must have a master's degree or have the equivalent educational background of a master's degree.
• In general, the applicant should be forty-five years of age or under.
• He/she must pass the entrance examination organized by the university.
• He/she must be proficient in English and able to take courses in English or in Chinese.

Chinese Language Training Program

People who are between 15-60 years of age and are interested in learning Chinese will be eligible, if they are in good health and are willing to observe the laws and decrees of the People's Republic of China as well as the regulations of BUAA.

Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online

Application Fee

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.

1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the
PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.

2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas:Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.

3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.

4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Application Materials

Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.

Applicants should supply all the photocopies of  following  mentioned materials.

Undergraduate Program

• A Health certificate with a seal of a clinic or hospital by a medical doctor after a physical examination.
• Copies of the high school diploma or certificate
• The transcripts of academic records in high school.
• Results of the applicant's HSK test
• A copy of the passport identification page and four passport-sized photos
• Application fee RMB 400yuan
• One passport-sized photo
• Photocopy of your passport;

All the documents listed above should be provided in English or Chinese, or with a translation in English or Chinese.

Master's Program

The applicants should submit the following materials:

• One passport-sized photo;
• Photocopy of your passport;
• A Health certificate which bears the seal of clinic or hospital should be completed by a medical doctor after a physical examination;
• Duplicated copies of a notarized bachelor's degree diploma or certificate and notarized school-certificate transcripts of complete academic records;
• Two letters of recommendation from teachers or experts at or above the level of associate professor;
• A certificate from the financial guarantor of the applicant.  

All the above-mentioned materials should be provided in English or with a translation in English.
 

Doctoral program

The applicants should submit the following materials:

• One passport-sized photo;
• Photocopy of your passport;
• A Health certificate which bears the seal of clinic or hospital should be completed by a medical doctor after a physical examination;
• Duplicated copies of a notarized master's degree diploma or certificate and notarized school-certificate transcripts of complete academic records;
• Two letters of recommendation from teachers or experts at or above the level of associate professor;
• A certificate from the financial guarantor of the applicant.

Chinese language training program

The applicants should submit the following materials:

• One passport-sized photo;
• Photocopy of your passport;

Time for application and enrollment:

Master and Doctoral Programs:

Appication deadline:    Spring: Jan. 10         Autumn:May 30
Beginning Date:  Spring: March 10        Autumn:Sept. 10

Undergraduate Program:

Application Deadline: June 10th.
Beginning Date:Early September

Long Term Classes:

The application deadline for the spring semester is the end of December.
The class will begin at the end of February. The application deadline for the autumn semester is the end of June, and the class will begin at the end of August. But the application will be ended once all seats taken

Entrance Examination, Admission and Registration for Undergraduates

a) Entrance Examination Time:

The Sunday and Saturday on the third week of May;
The Sunday and Saturday on the third week of June;
Applicants have option of taking either examination;
The exact date will be informed on the Exam Card.
b) Subjects of Entrance Examination: English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
c) The results will be available two weeks after the examination on the website of BUAA. The Admission Notice and JW202 Form will be mailed to the successful applicants around July 10th. Applicants should complete all necessary formalities and register at BUAA on time as instructed by the Admission Notice.
d) Registration Time: Early September. The detailed date will be specified in the Admission Notice.
