Why choose to study this program?
MASTA (Master Program on Space Technology Applications) has been an elaborately designed and an intensive Master Program on space technology applications in Beihang University since 2006, sponsored by the Secretariat of Asia-Pacific Multilateral Cooperation in Space Technology and Applications (AP-MCSTA). It focuses on both knowledge acquisition and operational training, and is an engineering and application-oriented program with flexible curricula. It provides a powerful platform for scholars and professionals to obtain more opportunities for communicating and experiencing the space technology practice in China. English will be used as teaching and instruction language.
Note: Only when the number of the qualified applicants for one major is over 15 the class will be opened.
Main Courses and Credits
Major Courses: Introduction to Satellite Communication, Electromagnetic Wave and Antennas, Principles of Satellite Communications, The Opening of Experiments of SATCOM, Satellite Communication Networks, Rules, Regulations and Procedures of ITU, Case Studies in the Applications of Satellite Communications, Software Applications of STK etc.

Program Schedule
MASTA will launch a two-stage program:
- Stage Ⅰ: 9-12 months in BUAA for the Core Course;
- Stage Ⅱ: 6-12 months in BUAA or home country for Advanced Research Projects.

Diploma Awarded
- Students who have finished Stage Ⅰwill obtain postgraduate certificate of BUAA.
- Students who have finished both stages and pass the master thesis defense will be awarded a Master degree of P.R. China.
Top↑Entry Requirements
- The Applicant should be expected to study hard, observe the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and abide by the regulations of BUAA.
- In general the applicant should have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or have the equivalent educational background of (a B.S.) degree.
- The applicant should be forty years of age or under.
- He/she must have a good command of English and have the ability to take courses in English or Chinese.

- Undergraduate school transcript

From professor or associate professor or equivalents
- Financial support statement
A certificate from the financial guarantor of the applicant.
- Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
