1. Objectives
Artology is a comprehensive branch which mainly from the macroscopic and micro angle studies the phenomenon and essence of art. It is such a discipline that combines philosophy, aesthetics, science of culture, sociology, psychology, dissemination, anthropology, comparative studying, and artistic historiography. From the respects such as artistic essence, artistic origin, artistic development, art creation, appreciates the arts, art propaganda, it sums up the law, future trend and change of happening and developments of human art.
The course of Art Theory and Criticism and History of Chinese Art focuses on mastering of the art nature. The course of Art Industry and Management focuses on mastering of management theory of culture and art. This specialty insists on the combination of theory and practice. On the basis of grasping the basic art and at least one artistic design, students will learn the basic history of art development, learn to analyze the contemporary art phenomenon and art works with the basic principles of art, and train themselves to be new-type talents engaged in art research, teaching and management.
