Program Description
The International Foundation Program is offered by South China University of Technology (SCUT) to prepare international students to operate in a university setting by familiarizing them with the requirements for successful undergraduate study. The program is designed for students who do not meet the minimum requirements for direct entry into SCUT's undergraduate programs.

Mathematics, Physics, Academic English, Chinese, Introduction to Chinese Culture, Business Management, etc.
Why This Program
- All courses will be conducted in English by SCUT lecturers and experienced English-Speaking lecturers. And chinese language course will be also arranged during the course of study;
- Students will be guaranteed admission to English-taught degree programs of SCUT if they successfully complete the program. Students can also apply for Chinese-taught degree programs if their meet the basic requirement of Chinese language proficiency.
- At the end of study, you will be awarded a certificate which can be recognized by other higher institutions, if you passed all examinations prescribed by SCUT.

Term/Semester Date
SCUT has two semesters a year; the main semester which admits new students only, runs from September to January, and the second semester runs from late February or early March to July.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have an O-level qualification or equivalent. Qualifications from all countries are considered.
Applicants must demonstrate competence in English by meeting SCUT's minimum English language requirements:
TOEFL 152 (Computer-based test) or 470 (paper-based test), or
IELTS 5.0, or
Evidence of English ability equivalent to any of the above.
Application Documents:
O-Level Certificate and results; or a letter from your current school which shows that you have completed two years of high school study. All documents should be translated into English.
English test results, if available.
