Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online
Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee.

Application Fee
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.

1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.

2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.

3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.

4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Application Materials
Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.

One Year Foudation Course
1. Passport-size photo (personal color photos without headwear);
2. A photocopy of the applicant's passport (including the copy of residence permit or visa);
3. A photocopy of educational credential certificate of senior high school (or above);
4. Academic record: a photocopy of the transcript;
5. Copy of valid certificate of HSK (The Chinese Proficiency Test) (Level 3 or above)

Bachelor's Degree Programs
1. Passport-size photo (personal color photos without headwear);
2. A photocopy of the applicant's passport (including the copy of residence permit or visa);
3. A photocopy of educational credential certificate of senior high school (or above);
4. Academic record: a photocopy of the transcript;
5. Copy of valid certificate of HSK (The Chinese Proficiency Test) (Level 6 or above)

Master's Degree Programs
1. Passport-size photo (personal color photos without headwear);
2. A photocopy of the applicant's passport (including the copy of residence permit or visa);
3. A photocopy of an official Bachelor's degree or equivalent education certificate;
4. A photocopu of HSK 6 certificate for major in Painting, Sculpture, Design, and Architecture or HSK 8 certificate for major in Art Theory.
5. Other materials requireded for applying majors:
1) 8 pictures (7 inch color printed photos) and 1 thesis for applying the major in Chinese Painting, Engraving, Sculpture, mural painting, research of modeling foundation, Design in School of Design, and majors in School of Architecture.
2) 8 photos of creative works, oil painting works and sketch works (7 inch color printed) and 1 thesis for applying the major in Oil Painting.
3) 8 pictures (7 inch color printed photos) and 1 Creation Program for applying the any major in School of Experimental Art.

4) 1 thesis or 1 translation work for applying the major in research of Histories of art and Design.
5) 1 relevant thesis for applying the any major in School of Humanities.

Doctoral Degree Program
1. Passport-size photo (personal color photos without headwear);
2. A photocopy of the applicant's passport (including the copy of residence permit or visa);
3. A photocopy of an official Master's degree or equivalent education certificate;
4. Master thesis;
5. Resume;
6. Two recommendation letters from associate professors (or above) in related fields.
7. A photocopu of HSK certificate (if any).
8. Other materials requireded for applying majors:
1) 1 - 2 theses published on academic journal and study plan (2000 words) for applying the major in School of Humanities.
2) 1 - 2 theses published on academic journal and study plan (2000 words) for applying the major in School of Design. Design portfolios are also required for applying for Research on Graphic Design.
3) 1 - 2 theses published on academic journal, design portfolios and study plan (2000 words) for applying the major in School of Architecture.
4) Photos of creative works, oil painting works and 8 to 10 sketch works (7 inch color printed), 1 - 2 theses published on academic journal, and study plan (2000 words) for applying the major in School of Design Art.

 

Qualification

One Year Foudation Course
1. High school graduate or equivalent education;
2. HSK level 3 or above;
3. Virtue and good heath.

Bachelor's Degree Program
1. Foreign citizen;
2. High schoool graduate or equivalent education;
3. Under 35 years;
4. HSK level 6 or above;
5. Virtue and good heath.

Master's Degree Program
1. Foreign citizen;
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education;
3. Under 40 years;
4. HSK 6 certificate for major in Painting, Sculpture, Design, and Architecture or HSK 8 certificate for major in Art Theory
5. Virtue and good heath.

Doctoral Degree Program
1. Foreign citizen;
2. Master's degree or equivalent education;
3. Under 45 years;
4. HSK 9 certificate;
5. Virtue and good heath.

March 1st to April 30th

Master's Degree Program
October 20th to November 16th

Doctoral Degree Program
March 1st to 15th

 

Entry Examination

Bachelor's Degree Program
May 28th to 29th

Master's Degree Program
There are Preliminary examination and second examination.
Take the admission card for entrance examination announcement's date as a standard for the time of preliminary examination.
Time of second examination will be confirmed and announce in late March.

Doctoral Degree Program
April 13th to 17th
