CAFA has more than 20 directions ranging three disciplines. They are Chinese painting, calligraphy, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, mural painting, animation, graphic design, product design, fashion design, photography art, digital media art, environmental art design, architecture, art history and theory, design history and theory, intangible cultural heritage, art administration, design management, museology, art archaeology and art education, etc. Every year, CAFA's High School of Fine Art enrolls secondary school students, three-year college students (continuing education), undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate students and students for advanced studies, and offer places for researchers such as post-doctors.
