Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online
Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee.
Application Fee
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON'T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.
1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.
2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.
3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.
4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).
Application Materials
Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.
Clear photocopies of valid passport: photo page and extension/remark/amendment pages (if any).
Passport photo.
Other supporting documents upon our request.
Documents for Visa/Residence Permit application.
And, materials required for Degree Program Candidates:

Bachelor Candidates:
(1) Graduation Certificate of a senior middle school or equivalent (photocopies). This MUST be notarized by Chinese Embassy/Consulate General in your home country.
(2) Official academic transcript of latest education, containing all performances.
(3) Study plan, illustrating the motives and schedule of study.
(4) HSK Level 6 (or higher) certificate (photocopy).
Master or Doctor Candidates:
(1) A Bachelor's/Master's degree certificate or equivalent (photocopies). This MUST be notarized by Chinese Embassy/Consulate General in your home country.
(2) Official academic transcript of latest education, containing all performances.
(3) List of academic/research productions, given in details, if any.
(4) Study plan, illustrating the motives and schedule of study.
(5) At least two letters of recommendation, in which at least one should be from an associate professor or above.
(6) HSK Level 6 (or higher) certificate (photocopy).

Qualifications
Students who obey Chinese laws and without fatal health problems can apply for SWUFE.
Bachelor Candidates:
have graduated from a senior middle school or equivalent.
Master Candidates:
have attained a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Doctor Candidates:
have attained a Master's Degree or equivalent.
Chinese Language Program Candidates:
no special academic qualification required.
Chinese Proficiency Requirements
Unless specially indicated, all DEGREE programs require the candidates to pass HSK Exam (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 6, before degree study. This is the regulation of the Ministry of Education of China.
* HSK Exam is an examination designed to test Chinese language proficiency for candidates. Candidates can apply/attend the exam in China or abroad. HSK Exam Result is a compulsory entrance requirement for international degree students.
Student who has not taken HSK Exam or fails to pass HSK Exam Level 6 can join our Chinese Training Program before degree study (please see “Chapter 2.3 – Chinese Training Program” for details). Learn from our experience, it takes 1-2 year for a Chinese beginner to pass HSK Level 6.

Application Deadline
Degree Programs: before June 30th every year.
Chinese Training Program: no application deadline.
Notice:
Legal Matters
1. Students over 16 years old shall carry with them their passports for possible examination by police. When in Chengdu, students may take copies of photo page and visa page of their passport with them (rather than the passport itself) for the concern of avoiding unexpected passport lose.
2. Students holding L or X visa shall apply for Residence Permit within due period. Overseas Student Office provides assistance in this regard free of charge (Students need to pay visa application fee by themselves).
3. Students should report to Overseas Student Office one month prior to their current visas or residence permits' expiry date if they wish to continue their study. Overseas Student Office will also remind students to extend their visa.
4. Students are prohibited to work. Students wishing to work part time shall apply for a Working Permit in Overseas Student Office. Students only can work after obtaining the permit.

5. When driving vehicles (includes motorcycles), students shall make sure that they have obtained a valid Chinese driver license. Driver license (even international driver license) obtained from student's home country must be converted to Chinese driver license.
6. Type of vehicle driven by student shall agree with the granted classes contained in student's Chinese driver license. And the vehicle shall be legally registered. Otherwise the student will face penalty payment and the vehicle itself will be seized and held by the local police.
7. Students staying out more than 5 days shall provide Overseas Student Office with destination, return time and contact details. Students only can leave after obtaining the office's permission.
8. If a student absents for more than 15 days and we cannot reach the student via all means, such as phone, email etc, PSB will cancel the student' Resident Permit.
9. If a student's living address and/or phone number changes, please inform Overseas Student Office immediately.
Payment
1. Students shall pay tuition before applying for a Residence Permit.
2. Students can get refund of full tuition if they withdraw courses within the first week of each semester.

3. Regardless full time or part time study, students shall pay full tuition if we provide guarantee for them to apply Residence Permit (we can help students' relatives to apply for Residence Permit free of charge if they could provide relevant certified relative relationship documents notarized by Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in students' home country).
4. Students shall pay their accommodation fee before the fifth day of each month.
5. Students shall pay exceeded electricity fee and LCD TV rent (RMB 50/month, double room only, the LCD TV can be removed upon request) at reception in the beginning of each following month.
