- Between 18 and 40 years of age;
- High school diploma or higher academic degree certificate;
- Average grade of B or higher;
- Original HSK level 6 or above or new HSK level 5 (with 180 points or more) for liberal arts, original HSK level 3 or above or new HSK level 4 (with 180 points or more) for science and the Chinese language program;

- Certificate of HSK
Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)
- Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
- Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
- High school academic transcript
- High school graduate certificate
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
- Two letters of recommendation
From professor or associate professor or equivalents
- Letter of guarantee
The guardian should write out his/her name, nationality, occupation and address (if an organization acts as the guardian, reference to the organization should be made clear).

- Permission from the previous university for tranfer students
A student who has studied in China and wants to transfer to another university must provide the permission from original university.
