When to apply
early March – early April
Admission
Upon acceptance, the University will send the "Notification of Admission to Peking University” and "Visa Application Form for Foreigners" (Form JW202) by the end of June.
Registration Period
September (the date of registration will be specified in the “Notification of Admission to Peking University”).
Tuition fee and Housing fees
1. Tuition Fee: 26,000 RMB per year per person (teaching materials are not included), which must be paid in full on the day of registration.
2. Housing fees: Peking University provides students with accommodation in the Posts and Telecommunications Hotel, located 500 meters west of the main campus.
Apartments: 58 RMB per day per bed. Two- or three-room apartment with two beds in each room, equipped with air conditioner, color TV, telephone, bathroom, and room-cleaning service.
Single room: 95R MB per day per room.
Top↑Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens above the age of 18 and under the age of 23, and have attained a senior high school diploma (not from China) and an excellent academic record;
- Applicants must have attained an elementary level of Chinese, i.e. more than one year of full-time Chinese language training or having attained the certificate of level 5 or above on the HSK examination.

- Certificate of HSK
Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test),No need for English medium programs
- Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
- Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
- High school academic transcript
- High school graduate certificate
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
- Letter of recommendation
From professor or associate professor or equivalents
- Letter from financial guarantor
indicating his or her name, profession, telephone number, and contact address
- Letter from sponsor in China
indicating his or her name, working unit, telephone number, and permanent address
