The process of internationalization together with continuous technology improvements, especially in the last three decades, has brought unprecedented flows of goods, services, labor and capital across national boundaries. World trade has become increasingly important, foreign direct investment is growing, and the competitive pressures on many industries and firms have intensified. There are big challenges for companies which operate internationally. They are becoming engaged in modes of business that are different from those they are accustomed to domestically. Therefore, it is important to develop a better understanding of how these multinational firms are managed and controlled. This program will enable students to understand how firms become and remain international in scope. They will learn to apply management theories and techniques important in an increasingly multinational business environment. New research findings, case studies and comparative perspectives on the management of internationally operating firms will help students to understand these issues in more detail, and that the local adaptation of business and management concepts developed elsewhere is crucial.

This program aims to prepare students for careers requiring global business awareness and to develop skills required to work in internationally operating companies and organizations. It provides the students with many opportunities, both to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during the modules, and to develop a more in-depth understanding of common problems emerging in an international business environment. It is especially suitable for those students interested in international trade, international business and management, international human resource management and marketing.

This program is offered by Global Institute of Management and Economics, DUFE. Currently, there are over more than 100 international students studying the English-medium program in the college and coming from over 20 countries. Most of the teachers are foreign teachers. There are Chinese lessons as elective courses during the study period and students can choose courses according to level language levels. Besides the university provides accommodation for international students.

Visa fee: RMB 825 one year

Physical Examination: RMB 450 for the first time to study in China

Top↑Entry Requirements

1. High School Graduate
2. Age between 18 and 50
3. Good command of English: Non-Native English Speakers usually need to have passed the IELTS test and scored at least 5.0 (or TOEFL 61) or equivalent. Applicants may choose to take the DUFE English Entry Exam as an alternative to the IELTS test. Native-English speakers are generally exempt from the English language requirements.

3. High school academic transcript
4. High school graduate certificate
   Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
5. English proficiency test certificate
   For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.
