Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online
Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee.
Application Fee
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON'T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.
CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.
1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.
2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas:Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.
3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.
4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).
Application Qualification
Current University regulations do not require overseas students to take entrance examinations, although various documents are required at enrolment for confirmation of qualifications. The appropriate letter of admission and Visa Clearance Form (JW202) are sent out as soon as the student is confirmed in a place. Eligibility requirements are as follows.

Students whose courses are taught mainly in Chinese during high school are exempt from the HSK Certificate. b) Language proficiency for Bilingual Chinese-English medium programmes English: 80 points or above for TOEFL, a grade 6.0 or above for IELTS, or other certificate of English proficiency from an approved test. Native English speakers and candidates whose high school courses are taught in English are exempt from this requirement. Chinese: Applicants for Economics and Accounting programmes should get the HSK Certificate of fifth level or above; Applicants for sciences should get HSK Certificate of third level or above. Note: Applicants can apply for Chinese language training in Overseas Education College and then join the HSK test held in April, June and Dec. each year in Xiamen University . |

Remarks:
Students whose courses are taught mainly in Chinese during their high school are exempt from the HSK Certificate when applying undergraduate programmes.
Application Materials
Undergraduate Program
- High school diploma, certified copy.
- Academic transcripts or mark sheets during his high school study, certified copy.
- Chinese or English Proficiency Certificate.
- Copy of valid foreign passport
- One passport-sized photo
- Other supporting documents including awards, internships certificate, recommendation letters, which will be highly considered.
- Applicants applying for Architecture and Artistic Design should have art background and are required to submit their artworks.
Note:
- Applicants, who come under the first entry requirement given in the note, should present photocopies of their passport and visa record.
- Documents that are not in English or Chinese need to be officially translated and certified. All the documents will not return to the applicants whether the application successful or not.
English-medium Master's Degree Program
- Notarised copy of bachelor's degree diploma. Applicants who are currently studying at university must also provide study certificates. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must have notarised translations into Chinese or English attached.
- Notarised photocopy of transcripts. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must have notarised translations into Chinese or English attached.
- A study or research plan in Chinese or in English (minimum 800 words).
- Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors.
- English Proficiency Certificate.
- Photocopy of valid passport.
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English.
- One passport-sized photo
Note:
1. Applicants who apply more than two scholarships should fill related scholarship forms, but only submit one copy of completed application materials. Applicants who apply as self-supporting students should apply online and submit one copy of completed application materials.
2. Application materials above will not return to applicants whether they are accepted or not.
Doctoral Degree Program
