Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online
Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee
Application Fee
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.
CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.
1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.
2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.
3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.
4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Application Materials
Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.
Undergraduate Program:
1. High school diploma (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
2. High school transcripts (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
3. HSK Certificate (original or notarized version)
4. Valid passport copy
5. A passport size photo
MBBS in English
1. A photocopy of the applicant's passport;
2. Passport-size photo;
3. A notarized copy in Chinese or English of the official high school graduate certificate (student expecting to graduate should provide an official letter starting expected graduation date);
4. Academic record: a notarized copy either in Chinese or English of the transcript (including courses taken and standard achieved);
5. Foreigner Physical Examination Record
Master's Program:
1. Bachelor's degree certificate and undergraduate diploma (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
2. Related transcripts (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
3. Two recommendation letters from professor or associate professor, in Chinese or English
4. HSK 6 Certificate or notarized version, or other documents that can prove your Chinese level
5. Valid passport copy
6. A passport size photo
Doctoral Program:
1. Master graduate diploma and Master's degree certificate (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
2. Related transcripts (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
3. Two recommendation letters from professor, in Chinese or English
4. HSK 6 Certificate or notarized version, or other documents that can prove your Chinese level
5. Valid passport copy

Chinese Language Students:
1. A copy of the applicant's passport

Application Notes
1. All required materials must be the originals or copies notarized by the issuing organization;
2. All required materials must be in Chinese or English;
3. Applicants should be healthy, have good behavior, proper educational background and Chinese language ability (the last requirement is not for students who learn Chinese language here and graduate students who will take courses in English).
4. HSK level 3 for those who want to study Chinese Language undergraduate program from the second year, HSK level 6 for those who want to study Chinese Language undergraduate program from the third year, copy of HSK Certificate (level 6 or above) (submit with File Requirements).
5. Those who apply for the study of science and (or) engineering, and have passed at least HSK Examination Band 3, and those who apply for the study of liberal arts and have passed at least HSK Examination Band 6, can directly start their study in the relevant colleges or departments; those who fail to pass the examination can at first apply for their study of Chinese language for one year in Wuhan University before their study in the relevant colleges or departments.
6. The application fee is non-refundable and the application materials will not be returned;
7. The application requirements and application period will change according to real situations.
Academic Semester
At Wuhan University, academic year is divided into two semesters: Spring semester and Fall semester.
Usually one semester lasts about 18 weeks, including 2 weeks for review and tests at the end of each semester. Both new academic year and fall semester begin with September. Spring semester begin with February.
Summer holiday of Wuhan University starts from the beginning of July which lasts about 8 weeks. Winter holiday is set in accordance with the Chinese Spring Festival. Generally it starts ten days before the Spring Festival and ends ten days after the Spring Festival, which lasts about 4 weeks.
Enrollment Time
The exact beginning day is 10th September for international students from the 2nd year. And for new international students, it is around one week later from 10th September.
