CUCAS Comments: The former West China University of Medical Science was originally built as a private medical school - West China Union College. It was established in 1910 by five Christian missionary groups. With offered courses in stomatology, biomedicine, basic medicine and clinical medicine, WCUMS had been a prestigious medical university in China that also enjoyed reputation abroad. In 2000, It merged with Sichuan University (founded in 1896) as a campus called West China Center of Medical Sciences, SCU. And, it is still one of the best medical academies in China and having high prestigious overseas.
