School of Business, founded in 1990, has become the largest and fastest growing school at ECUST. It boats a well-qualified and experienced faculty of 124 members; over half of them are professors and associate professors.

The MBA programs are well recognized by the State Education Ministry of China. One of the unique characteristics of the ECUST School of Business is excellent international study environment offered to the MBA students. ECUST MBA invites worldwide professors and professionals have been invited to join hands with us to build the branding "Global MBA of ECUST".

Moreover, ECUST MBA has also recognized MBA ranking by both at home and abroad publications:

Brief Introduction

The School of Business (formerly named the School of Business and Economics) was founded in 1990 when the university expanded itself into a comprehensive one with both science and liberal arts. The school has currently grown into the largest one in the university.

School of Business consists of five departments, six research institutes, two research centers and a professional masters' education center. Currently, it offers bachelor's degree in eleven specialties for over 3000 undergraduates and students from other schools studying for their second bachelor's degree; It also offers master's degree in seven specialties, three of which being grade-1 specialties, and three professional master's degree for over 1200 students. In the past two decades, the School of Business has established a network of over 9000 alumni who are now in diverse professions.

The School boasts a well-qualified and experienced faculty of 125 members, with more than 65% of them being professors and associate professors; seven of them awarded the Sun Yefang Prize of Economics, and many awarded academic prizes at provincial and national level; a number of professors appointed as economic and management advisors for policy alternatives by the national and Shanghai Municipal Government, many more teachers serving as consultants for institutions and businesses. Professor Dr. Wu Baijun, Dean of the School, is a well-known economist and supervisor for Ph. D. students. Since 1992, the School of Business has seen a gradually increasing number of faculty members participating in advanced studies, scholarly exchanges, and cooperation programs abroad. Additionally, the school regularly invites nationally and internationally-noted professors as visiting or adjunct professors every year.

School of Business has placed a particular emphasis on cooperation and exchanges with domestic and overseas research institutes and enterprises. So far it has established relations and cooperation with more than 20 well-known universities in the United Sates, Britain, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan, to name a few. The School of Business sincerely welcomes visits, research cooperation and exchanges with research institutes, governmental departments, enterprises as well as individuals home and abroad.
