The applicant should be under 45 years old, have the equivalent of a Master's degree conferred on by a Chinese university, two recommendation letters from his/her advisors (full or associate professors), an HSK Level 9 certificate (or C level or above for advanced learner) and be able to pass the qualifying examination.

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
- Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
- Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
- Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
For example, photocopy of ID card, photocopy of passport, etc.
