Top↑Program Description
The language training class is set up especially for students who come to NUST to study Chinese from a very beginning level through intermediate to advanced level. Students will be put in different classes in the light of their marks of Chinese Test, and the number of students for each class is under 20.
The spring semester begins in the middle or at the end of February and the fall semester begins at the beginning or in the middle of September.
The teaching usually lasts 16 weeks and 20 hours per week. Required courses are usually arranged in the morning and elective courses in the afternoon.
Curriculum
a. Required Courses
Junior Class: Junior Chinese, Junior Listening, Applied Dialogue, Junior Reading, etc;
Intermediate Class: Intermediate Chinese, Intermediate Listening, Newspaper Reading, Applied Dialogue, Applied Writing, Business Chinese, etc;
Senior Class: Senior Chinese, Newspapers Reading, Topic Discussion, Applied Writing, Business Chinese, etc.
b. Elective Courses
Guidance to HSK, Survey of China, Chinese History and Culture, Chinese Character, Ancient Chinese, Chinese Literature, Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Shadow Boxing, Wushu, Qigong, Chinese Cooking.
c. Sightseeing and Practice
We also arrange students’ study tour, covering visits to factories or companies, discussions with counterparts and sightseeing in cities such as Suzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou once or twice in one semester (Traveling fees are excluded).

- Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
