Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online
Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee.
Application Fee
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE CUCAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

Application Materials
CUCAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.
1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.
2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas could find payment details o use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.
3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.
4. Western Union: CUCAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).
Application Materials
Make sure that you have prepared for the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments when applying.
1. A photocopy of the applicant's passport;
2. Passport-size photo;
3. An official certificate of your highest education;
4. Academic record: a photocopy of the transcript;
5. Two recommendation letters;
6. Physical examination record of the applicant;
7. A photocopy of HSK test certificate
Note:
• Applications for Undergraduate Programs must submit the copy of secondary high school transcript, the copy of HSK level certificate (Level-6 is required by Liberal Arts majors and Level-4 is required by Sciences majors) and the recommendations from two teachers.

• Applications for Master’s and Doctoral Degree Programs must submit the transcripts of undergraduate and graduate studies, language skill certificate, individual statement and the recommendations form two assistant professors or professors.
Entry Qualifications
Applications of Language Program and Undergraduate Programs must be over 16 years old, in good health, and have graduated from secondary high school.
Applications for Master’s Degree Programs must have got the Bachelor’s degree authorized by China’s university and be under 40 years old.
Applicants for Doctoral Degree Programs must have got the Master’s degree authorized by China’s university and be under 45 years old.
Deadline of application submission
January 15: applications for Language Program for the March semester enrollment
July 15: applicants for Language Program for the September semester enrollment
July 31: applicants for Undergraduate Programs

Medical Insurance
In accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, all foreign students are obliged to be insured against accidents and hospitalization for the duration of their stay and study in China.
As a requirement, all overseas students must be covered by such an insurance policy while studying in Yanshan University. Students can choose to buy the insurance from a home agent before arriving in China or from a Chinese agent. Upon register, registration students must produce evidence of the compulsory insurance in the form of a certificate ratified by an insurance agent or a notary organization in either English or Chinese. Failure to provide such a certificate will result in a cancelation of candidature to study at this university.
