Long-term Courses for Chinese Language, which usually last 3 to 24 months, are designed specifically to fully enhance the students' abilities of speaking, writing and interpreting. Courses such as Chinese Medicine, Literature, Arts, Geography, Folk Culture are carefuuly incorporated into the language learning curriculum, so that students can not only communicate with Chinese people smoothly but can also experience and understand the abundantly charming Chinese culture.
1. Requirements
Those who are healthy and willing to abide by Chinese Laws and University's regulations are legible to apply.
2. Course Contents
(1) Beginners Course: Junior Chinese (including grammar, pronunciation, and conversation), Junior Listening & Speaking, Reading (including Chinese characters, culture), and Chinese Folk Culture (elective)
(2) Intermediate Course: Intermediate Chinese (including syntax, culture, and discussion), Intermediate Listening & Speaking, Reading (including culture), and Chinese Folk Culture (elective)
(3) Advanced Course: Senior Chinese (including syntax, translation, discussion), Senior Listening, Chinese Culture, Practical Writing, Chinese Folk Culture (elective)
Note: Check the appendix to see the concrete curriculum schedule.Class will commence when there are 5 students, and there will be a maximum of 20 students per class.
3. Application Materials
A. Passport-size photo
B. Photocopy of valid passport
C. Photo-copy of Highest Academic Certificate and School Record
D. Photo-copy of "Physical Examination Record for Foreigner" (valid for 6 months, the original copy must be kept for registration, if not qualified cannot enter the school)
4. Deadline of Application
January 31 for spring semester
5. School Beginning
The first Monday of September for autumn semester.
The last ten-day period of February for spring semester.
6. Tuition Standard
Tuition: RMB 14,000/school year (Those who study for less than one semester will pay RMB 3000/month)
Stationary Fee: according to actual expense (about RMB 150/semester)

Note:
All the classes above will offer courses of interest on Chinese folk culture in the afternoon, which include Calligraphy, Drawing, Clay Sculpture, Er Hu, Taiji Shadowboxing, Deep Breathing Exercises, Martial Arts, Cooking etc. Students can choose 1-2 courses, and class will commence when there are 10 students. A separate fee will be charged for these courses.

Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)
- Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
- Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
- Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
