Top↑Program Description

Students can register for regular courses of Chinese language and culture any time during the year. International students mainly register for the non-degree Chinese programs in spring (March 1st - July 10th) and autumn (September 1st - January 10th). Based on the students’ Chinese proficiency, they may choose to attend the Elementary Courses, Intermediate Courses or Advanced Courses. Students with special interests may also choose to study by “one on one” (one teacher teaching one student) or “one on two” (one teacher teaching two students) approaches.

Students with knowledge of more than 300 Chinese words and start learning grammar.

Students with knowledge of 1000 Chinese words and basic Chinese grammar.

Pre-intermediate

Band IV

Students with knowledge of 1800 Chinese words.

Band V

Students with knowledge of 2500 Chinese words, bearing an HSK certificate of Band 4.

Intermediate

Band VI

Students with knowledge of about 3000 Chinese words.

Band VII

Students with knowledge of 3500 Chinese words, bearing an HSK certificate of Band 6.

Advanced

Band VIII

Students with knowledge of 4000 Chinese words, bearing an HSK certificate of Band 7/8.

    A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
  3. Certificate/diploma of highest education
    Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
  4. Academic transcript of highest education
