The Medical School of Zhengzhou University, whose predecessor is Henan Medical University found in 1928, is one of the earliest medical higher education institutions approved to award Bachelor, Master and Doctor three-level degrees by Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and one of the Chinese medical higher education institutions recognized by WHO (World Health Organization). Zhengzhou University was one of the 24 medical higher education institutions approved to recruit international students of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine &Bachelor of Surgery) taught in English by State Ministry of Education. After many years of remitting efforts, medical education in Zhengzhou University has developed a integrated medical teaching system including seven Colleges and five Hospitals including Basic Medical College, College of Public Health, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Nursing, College of Stomatology, Medical Examination College and Clinical Medicine College, the First Clinical Hospital, the Second Clinical Hospital, the Third Clinical Hospital, the Fourth Clinical Hospital, the Fifth Clinical Hospital. They have together formed the high quality degree awarding system with good education quality and multilevel students fostering bases. Zhengzhou University has begun to recruit international students since 1997. A great number of the graduates have undertaken significant positions of management and medical treatment or researches in the medical system or research institutions, and they are making great contribution to the world medical care and public health industry.

Clinical Medicine College
Clinical Medicine College of Zhengzhou University, whose predecessor is the Clinical Medicine Specialty of Henan Medicinal University found in 1928. It is the earliest college to enroll the largest number of students of medical specialties in Henan. Now the full-time faculties reach 3045 including 2 academicians, 19 specially invited professors of Henan Province, 48 guest professors, 44 doctor supervisors and 269 master supervisors, among them 227 with the title of Professor and 372 with the title of Deputy Professors, and 150 have PH. D. and 397 have Master degrees, 5 teachers are awarded as Provincial or University Teachers’ Model. The College has Post-doctoral Research Programs and one Doctoral Degree Program and one Master Degree Program of level-1 Discipline of Clinical Medicine respectively. 20 key disciplines of Provincial level and one Key-Disciplines Laboratory Clinical-Medicine Henan, 32 Specialized Laboratories. 11 research institutes, 35 undergraduate teaching and research sections setting 37 courses including 4 excellent courses and one Featured Course of provincial level. As the biggest specialized college cultivating advanced medical personnel, the clinical medicine college focuses on the leading edge of medical technology; actively introduces the teaching facilities, continuously improves the teaching methods, seriously standardizes the teaching process, especially, emphasizes the importance of stabilizing the students’ basic skills and innovation ability. At the same time the college actively strengthens the international and domestic exchanges and sends technicians regularly to abroad for further study and invites well-known experts to give lectures. It has signed the technology exchange and cooperation agreement and personnel training program agreement one after another with famous domestic hospitals in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Xi’an, etc., and abroad medical institutes in U.S., Germany, Japan, Canada, U.K., Swede, Norwegian, Denmark, Austria, Holland, etc., and has brought up thousands of high level medical care personnel.

College of Stomatology
College of Stomatology is the only medical school in Henan which has members from China National Committee for Oral Health, the director of Henan Stomatological Association and a councilman of China Stomatological Association. The college has the faculty of 125, and among them there are 9 with P.H.D., 21 with high professional titles, and 32 with intermediate professional titles. In recent years the college has made rapid progress in the aspects of teaching conditions, researching level, and clinical scale, and becomes an important base for training oral medical personnel in Henan. The college is mainly responsible for fostering bachelors of Oral Medicine Specialty, specialized postgraduates and students of continue education. It also carries on the basic and clinical research on Oral Medicine. Since 2009 College of Oral Medicine Zhengzhou University has ranked top 10 in the disciplinary assessment organized by China Stomatological Association.
