Why choose to study this program?

The Program takes advantage of its location in shanghai, the metropolitan city, pays equal attention to theory and practice, introduces advanced international teaching concept to produce high-level personnel for textile design and research. It has gradually fostered a society-oriented, innovation-conscious, market-sensitive, and practice-centered feature. In order to broaden the students’ horizon, the college has invited foreign professors to give lectures and also has various cooperation with enterprises.

Main Courses

Basic Pattern, Pattern Design, History of Dyeing and Weaving, Classic Pattern, Specialized Techniques, Computer Technique and Application, Interior Display, Fashion Painting Technique, Clothing Prints Design, Pictured Weave and Jacquard Weave Design, Braid Art and Wall-Ornament, Clothing and Fabric Design, Interior Textiles Design etc.

Internship and Career Development

Internship: This major has set up a laboratory for "dyeing and printing, hand-painting, digitalized ink printing", which can be used for the course of "Specialized Techniques". It also provides practical stages such as professional investigation, fabric trend research, market research, graduation design, etc.

Career Development: Most of the graduates in this program take fabric designer, design management, fabric management and marketing etc positions in textile brand company, home textile company, textile design company, costume design company, clothing foreign trade company, publishing house and so on.

The applicant should meet the following conditions:

1. Non-Chinese citizen in good health
2. Hign school graduate under the age of 35
3. Original HSK level 3 or new HSK level 4 (180 marks above)

   Other requisite certificates or materials, such as testimonials
6. High school academic transcript
7. High school graduate certificate
   Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
