Thousands of international students from over 100 countries choose to study at Donghua University (DHU) each year. International Cultural Exchange School (ICES) offers diverse Chinese programs suitable for different time schedules and demands.
Students who are busy with the daytime work in SH and eager to learn Chinese in the evening. This course only aims at people studying or working in Shanghai and school doesn't provide visa and apartments.
This course is designed for Beginner Level. The study duration will be Sep.3-Jan.11.2013.
Class Time: from 18:50 to 21:10 on every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.
1. Submit materials: A photocopy of the applicant's passport and passport-size photo;
2. Pay the application fee: RMB 400.
Note: Applicant who is not at his/her home country must upload/submit the photocopy of the current valid visa. All the application materials and the application fee are non-refundable.
The admission package will be issued to the accepted student within 15 days (more time during holidays) after his/her application materials & fee have been collected by ICES. It will be taken as abandoning the study automatically if the admission package cannot reach the student because of unclear, incorrect or invalid contact ways he/she has provided.
The minimum size of each class is 15 students and the average is about 20. Try or sit in on the class is not permitted.

Not available to all the beginners. Non-beginners can be accepted within the first week. However, for permission for any later registration, contact us before you applying the course.
You will receive a Completion Certificate issued by ICES after finishing the required class hours and passing the exams.
No classes on Chinese public holidays. Class schedules may be adjusted accordingly.

A full range of Free Regular Lectures will be offered to help you understand more Chinese and get to know Chinese culture. In addition, a series of diverse Student Activities will be held frequently, such as International Cultural Festival, Talent Competition, Culture Contest, Sports Games, New Year’s Party, Chinese Corner, Excursion, various clubs activities and teaching activities, etc.
The applicant should be a non-Chinese citizen in good health, between 16 and 60 years old and should hold a valid foreign passport. (If you are currently in China, you need to hold a valid Chinese visa as well.)
