Why choose to study this program?

This program takes advantage of its location in shanghai, the metropolitan city, pays equal attention to theory and practice, covers both fashion art and fashion engineering, and integrates teaching with social practice to produce high-level personnel for fashion design and fashion research. It has gradually fostered a society-oriented, innovation-conscious, market-sensitive, and practice-centered feature. The graduates, after 4-year’s professional training, have not only the knowledge of fashion industry and fashion market, but also the ability to foresee the trend. After 20 years’ effort, the program has gathered certain influence at home and abroad. Over 10 fashion institutes from overseas have established exchange relationship with the college and many fashion enterprises have become the internship bases and sponsors.

Fashion Illustration, Fashion Design Series, Structure Design and Garment Techniques, Handwork of Printing and Dying, Fashion Color, Accessory Design, Fashion Social Psychology, Costume History, Garment Material, Garment Cad, Fashion Production and Marketing, Fashion Photography, etc. “Fashion Design Series” is accredited as “the excellent course” both at municipal and national level.

Internship and Career Development

Internship: There are many research centers and laboratories for students to do research and tests. In addition, the college established off-campus internship and research bases in Youngor Group, Hailan Group, Rongzhihua Group etc enterprises.

Career Development: The graduates of this program may take the works such as garment style and pattern design, clothing digital technology development and application, brand planning and merchandising, retail management and international trade, marketing and management, production organization and process management, quality control and test, protective garment research and development and so on in government management departments, the domestic and foreign enterprises, universities, foreign institutions etc.

The applicant should meet the following conditions:

1. Non-Chinese citizen in good health
2. Hign school graduate under the age of 35
3. Original HSK level 3 or new HSK level 4 (180 marks above)

3. Passport photo
   A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
4. Photocopies of personal artwork
   Original copies of 2 latest works of art, one in pencil sketch and the other in color painting (required by Art-related programs application)
5. Other materials
   Other requisite certificates or materials, such as testimonials
6. High school academic transcript
7. High school graduate certificate
   Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
