1st Semester: Aug. 2012 to Jan. 2013
2nd Semester: Mar. 2013 to Jul. 2013

Tuition: RMB 24,000/academic year
(1st semester: RMB 11,000; 2nd semester: RMB 13,000. Tuition must be paid in full for the whole academic year)

Specialty:

• Professional lecturers/tutors and mentors will be designated, and stringent management and control on education will be carried out to ensure the high quality of teaching.
• After completing this program, students may achieve proficiency level of HSK 3 or above and fundamental knowledge relevant to their majors in Chinese.
• Students, whose Chinese proficiency has reached degree-study standard after completing PPDS, are able to enroll as formal undergraduate/postgraduate students.
• Excellent self-funded PPDS students may be recommended for Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) or Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS)

• Comprehensive Chinese: Improve all-round Chinese skills by increasing vocabulary and developing grammar appliance and skills in reading and writing.
• Chinese Listening & Speaking: Intensive training in listening and speaking in order to strengthen the ability of oral expression.
• Exercise: Foster Chinese skills by implementing diversified teaching activities and reviews.
