Full-time
Comprehensive Chinese Series - Improve your Chinese comprehensively through reading, writing, listening, & speaking

Courses: Main courses include Intensive Reading, Oral Chinese, & Listening. Classes of Intermediate II and above levels have supplementary courses such as Writing, Chinese Culture, Reading, Visualized Listening & Speaking.
Join The Class In The Middle: For HY-CQ01, non-beginners can be accepted within the first two weeks. You need to consult ICES first for joining the class since the third week. ICES will make decision based on your Chinese-placement-test result and the availability of the seats of the time. For HY-CQ002, no student will be accepted after program starts
Housing: You can apply for a room in the dormitory directly on the application form or live off campus. No more dormitory application will be accepted if the reservation is full. You can only check in the dormitory 3 days before the registration time.
Visa: DHU will provide the related documents for study visa and Resident Permit (study) application.
Insurance: You can apply for international medical and accidental insurance in your home country and provide a copy of your insurance policy and insurance card during the registration. Or you can purchase the comprehensive insurance at DHU during the registration. The cost is CNY 300 per semester.
Scholarship: Excellent students have the opportunity to receive President Scholarship, which can be used for tuition deduction for next semester.

Housing, Visa, & Insurance: Dormitory, documents for visa application, and insurance will not be available to part-time students.

Other Important Information
Opening: Class will open once the number of students reaches 15. About 20 students per class. 1 class hour= 45 minutes. No audition is allowed.
Tuition: ICES accepts only Chinese currency. Tuition should be paid in a lump sum in cash or Chinese bank card (ChinaUnionPay).
Completion: You will receive the Completion Certificate issued by DHU if you finish required class hours and pass the exams.
Holidays: Academic Calendar will follow the national legal holidays of China
Admission
1. Application: Applicants should be in good health, aged between 15 and 60, and holding a valid foreign passport.
2. Admission: Admission documents will be issues usually within 15 days after ICES collects required application materials. The reviewing procedure will be longer in winter and summer vocation. Please read International Student Guide carefully after you receive admission package and prepare for the trip and the study following the instruction on time. ICES will take no responsibility for unreached admission information because of invalid or unclear contact information provided by you.
3. Registration: You have to register by yourself with passport on the date indicated on the Admission Notice. Registration procedure as follows: submitting 3 passport photos, paying tuition in a lump sum for one semester at least, receiving visa information, registering current address, paying dormitory rent in a lump sum for one semester, purchasing other services, and taking placement test (including oral and written). Students are required to attend New Students Orientation

Rich Student Activities: Welcome Party, Classroom Decoration, International Cultural Festival, Chinese Corner, Spring/Fall Outing, International Student Talents Competition, Language Practices, New Year Party, Chinese Traditional Holiday Experience, Dragon Boat Competition, Ping Pong Competition, and etc. DHU International Student Union has different clubs and welcomes your actively participation.
