At the same time, A hi-tech development zone of machinery, electronic and aviation industries have been set up in the the city. Hundreds of thousands of visitors, including foreign officers, experts, entrepreneurs and tourists, come to Jingdezhen for visit, business trade, ceramic art exchange, investment, cooperation and travel, which makes this city be in good cooperative relations with more than 100 countries and regions, including Seto City in Japan, Ichon City in Korea, Lampang City of Thailand, and Sevres City in France and etc. Each year, hundreds of foreigners travel to Jingdezhen to learn the unique ceramics-making skills and techniques. They stay in the villages and towns around Jingdezhen for months, some even for years. To protect Chinese traditional ceramic art, the five main ceramics-making phases, namely biscuit making, biscuit trimming, glazing, blue flower painting and kiln burning, were put on China's Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2005. The local government has taken measures to promote craftsmen's research in traditional ceramic art innovation.
