Offering educational services of traditional Chinese medicine in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean languages, International Education College of Shandong University of TCM accepts both foreign students and overseas Chinese students. The College can provide various study programs for students, like program of bachelor degree, program of master degree and program of doctoral degree. At present, more than 300 students from Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, German, America, Russia, Switzerland, Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao are studying in the college.
To foreign students, all lessons of program of bachelor degree can be given both in Chinese and in English. If you are a good master of Chinese (HSK 5 and above), you can directly attend “ordinary class” where lessons are given in Chinese. If there are many people who can not speak Chinese but English, a “special class” where lessons will be given in English can be held for them. Apart from the language, you need to be graduated from high school with a certificate at least and you need to be in good health before you make an enrollment in our college.
There are many specialties in program of bachelor degree you can choose, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture & Tuina, Combined Chinese & Western Clinical Medicine, Science of Treatment and Rehabilitation, Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacology (TCMP), etc. For most of the specialties, you need to register in the college for 5 years before graduation with a bachelor degree of Medicine or Science. If you choose the specialty of Science of Treatment and Rehabilitation, it will only take you for 4 years.
Lessons given by the college mainly include: Basic Theory of TCM, TCM Diagnostics, TCMP, TCM Formulae and Prescriptions, Human Anatomy, Selected Readings on Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor, Selected Readings on Treatise on Febrile Disease, Selected Readings on Synopsis of Golden Cabinet, Treatise on Epidemic Febrile Diseases, Pharmacology, Pathology, Physiology, Biochemistry, TCM Internal Medicine, Surgery of TCM, Osteotraumatology of TCM, TCM Gynecology, TCM Pediatrics, TCM Otolaryngology, TCM Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation of TCM, Treatment and Rehabilitation, Foundation of Western Diagnostics, Internal Western Medicine, Basic Theories of Western Surgery, Western Medicine Pediatrics, Western Medicine Gynecology, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Channels and Collaterals, Acupoints, Manipulation Techniques, Acupuncture Treatment and Laboratory Acupuncture, Tuina Treatment, Tuina manipulation techniques, Tuina Practicing, Identification of TCMP, Preparation of TCMP, Traditional Physical Education, Histology and Embryology, and so on.
